Vroomi is a geometric and modular font based on a squared grid. This typeface has been designed for the visual identity of 'Wik', an indoor karting around Brussels. It has been inspired by the world of motorsports which includes speed, precision and bold graphics. Even if the design of this typeface seems rather simplistic and straightforward, 'vroomi' has been carefully constructed, subtly playing on the relationship of each letterform and their white space.
The most striking rule of this font is the banishment of the diagonal line. An act that could be seen as a drastic measure, but produces unexpected outcomes, such as the letter 'x' or the letter 'k'. 'Vroomi' includes four variations: regular, double outlined, italic and italic outlined.
